I agree. Very rude. This is suppose to be a community of support. Everyone approaches their journey differently, it should be respected.

I will never understand why opposing views are rude. Especially when the opposing view is correct. I just don’t get it. If we say what you want to hear, but it’s bad information, that is not helpful. Sometimes you need a kick in the *kitten* to turn your thinking around.
I didn’t perceive anyone being rude.
Not saying it's rude to have an opposing view, or to inform someone who is possibly misinformed. It's the way that many posters go about it... it's unnecessary to make someone feel like an idiot for asking a question. It's one of the purposes of these forums. The purpose isn't to be an outlet for jerks.
It is ok to have an opinion only if it coincides with the main consensus of these forums. The main focus of this forums tends to be weightloss via CICO. Anything ideas beyond that generally get wooed. Plant based, eliminating most processed foods, soda, etc generally get met with negative results and woo.
I understand that a lot of these posters are "veteran posters" but sometimes they need to realize that there is more than one way to skin a cat (so to speak).
I only had abour 10 lbs to lose and wanted to tone up. I did that simply by changing my diet by eliminating/reducing added sugar...this caused to me eat far less prepackaged foods due to the sugar in them. I never counted calories. If the food you eat it nutrient dense, your body will crave/require less quantity.
I just wish there was a bit more respect in the forums and not so many snarky comments when someone posts a question or comment that goes against the perceived norm. One can disagree, but respect goes a long way. It tends to make new posters avoid the forums because they don't want to get ridiculed...and when the new posters go away, it will just "preaching to the choir."18 -
shots of wheatgrass juice will help you detoxify. you can see it working too. when i've done wheatgrass juice, my face would break out as a sign of your body trying to expel toxins, then they'd go away and my skin would be clearer than when i started.23

The bold is extremely rude IMHO, attacking the people as well as their comments.
It's almost always the people claiming they want more civility on the boards who start the name calling. I find that interesting.16 -

What exact toxins does wheatgrass juice "expel" from your body, and by what physiological mechanism does it occur?1 -
@AnvilHead toxins that are in your body. as far as how it works or what particular toxins, idk, but i know what works for me. they said "try it", i tried it, call me a believer if you will among many. probably something to do with your blood and liver.
eating fruit not loaded with pesticides or bacteria is also very cleansing to the body. i was just reading an article about how eating a lot of fruit (not sure what kind) removes nicotine from the body faster than not eating the fruit for people trying to quit smoking. and yes it was backed up with scientific talk about why..not that i remember any of it. you could tell me til you were blue in the face why something works, but if you try it and it doesn't work, then what good is a bunch of scientific mumbo jumbo. and if you try it and it does work, then i suppose you could do without the scientific hoo ha.
2 pages of people saying detox doesn't work. i'd ask why is it you say that, where's the proof? but i really don't care to hear it as i already know better. the mind is a powerful thing, even if it's only a placebo, a physical detox can be good for the mind and soul in my opinion.
the best kind of extended detox cleanse i think would be juice fasting or raw food fasting. this is from experience also, not because i know why fruit is cleansing or nuts feed your body in a healthy way. just that i had the most energy, clearest skin i've ever had and best weight and stuff like that too, healthy skin and nails..positive outlook..
