Has anyone met friends from MFP?

I am looking for people to help motivate each other, to go for walks together, eventually to hike together, etc. I was curious to see if this is something other people have done and if so, has it been helpful?

Meeting people from online is a scary thing but I don't have any other 300+lb friends who are in the same boat as me, so it's frustrating sometimes doing all of this by myself.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there may be groups that you can join on here or other fitness apps that's specifically for meeting up for workouts

Almost, but I'm classier than working out in a Walmart bathroom. Not much, but a little bit classier.

No, but I’ve made some terrific enemies.

Also worth looking into is if you have a Facebook, sometimes there are groups geared towards that but more regional to your area. Or sites like meetup.com. I’ve seen a ton of fitness groups on there, all varying in what they do (ie. hiking, running, biking, etc).

Yes and not even in a neutral place like a coffee shop. I’m a dangerous lady.

Like Macy’s bathroom workouts? Are we still on for Wednesday?

Macy's bathroom workouts are great. People are courteous and don't try working in with you.

No. All my MFP friends are unknown and anonymous to me.
