Hey, just wondering if anyone has any tips on losing weight with Type 1 diabetes?

I’m type 1 diabetic also and would be really interested to see the replies this gets. The most popular and safe diet for diabetics seems to be the low carb/high fat one, as less carbs = less insulin. I think whatever diet you follow as a diabetic you just need to be on top of testing your blood sugar really regularly at least for the first few weeks whilst your body is adjusting. Also make sure you’ve got some dextrose tabs or something on you all the time as I imagine hypos will become more frequent at first!0

^^^^ this. Don't do anything without first consulting your Diabetes specialist medical professional. They will be best placed to guide you in how to monitor your insulin input and glucose levels whilst safely losing.2
