Bitter zucchini will I die?

So I had some zoodles for dinner that tasted bitter but I powered through it and finished them(1 zucchini). Now I find that you can die from eating bitter zucchini due to Curcurbitacin poisoning . I am scared now...did anyone eat bitter zucchini and survived? Lol, I am just a bit freaked out now.

Prolly.
Na I'll think you'll be alright1 -
I think you'll live. If it was going to do anything, the worst would be getting the runs and you'd have them already.0

I didn't even think it was possible to die from it but that was the first thing that popped up when I searched "bitter zucchini" https://www.thedailymeal.com/heidelberg-germany-zucchini-toxin-poison/823150

If your feeling sick, go directly to a hospital. If you're feeling fine, you'll likely be alright by now. How long has it been since you consumed it? Judging by the time stamp and common sense ( meaning you probably didn't post while eating the zucchini) I think you'll be just fine.0

I'm just wondering why someone who googled that it could be poisonous THEN asked on the internet instead of asking you know a proper medically trained person....
Aren't there hotlines for this? Maybe they're too busy dealing with idiots eating Tide Pods....9 -

Google says you might get stomach cramps and/or diarrhoea. I don't think you'll die. If you're worried though, call your doctor or a medical hotline.0

Eating Tide pods. ....natural selection at work
I'm not saying we should kill the stupid people, I'm just saying we shouldn't tell them not to eat Tide Pods and let things sort themselves out.4 -

OP I'm grateful to you for having started this thread. I'm guessing that it was mostly done jokingly, but maybe also an attempt to get the word out about cucurbitacin. I've grown zucchini before that tasted bitter, but like the couple in the link above, I just powered through it.1

Because they would then have to pay to waste someone's time rather then do it for free.0 -

Courgette skin gets bitter if it's past its best. That'll be all that's wrong with it.1
