Free weights?

Seems most people endorses free weights over machines, and I guess that only makes sense. It is better for your muscles and the machines can only do one movement, and are so expensive.

But where do you find free weights? I looked on craig's list, went to ****'s Sporting goods, and browsed Amazon, yet all the weights I found were far from free. In fact the cheapest were a dollar a pound, and in my book, that ain't free.

Where do everyone get these free weights?

    Craigslist? Yard Sales?

They're definitely are not cheap. I would offer that a mix of free weights and machines is better. Keeps your muscles "guessing".

D!ck's was the cheapest place around me. Dollar a pound give or take, was about as good as it got when I was looking.

I didn't have the time or patience to scope out Craig's List and other used avenues. And I could only imagine the shipping on 300+ pounds of weights.

Maybe try to sneak them out of the gym 2.5 pounds at a time.

The barbell might be tricky. Wear a trench coat and sweats.

Get a really long trench coat and use the barbells as stilts.
