Here’s few:

Age Group: One might believe the younger age group in their 20’s are the bigger and fittest looking lot because of being rich in testosterone, but it’s mainly the ones in late 30’s or even early 40’s. The reason being, the younger ones are less disciplined, thanks to the parties, alcohol and unhealthy diet, as well as ego lifting leads to improper form and more injuries. By the time one hits 30’s one is more stable in life and more disciplined working out.

Supplements: It’s not necessary one needs supplements post or pre-workout session. A regular food has every thing one needs to build muscles, supplements are an easy route but far from a necessity. These didn’t exist pre 70’s era, but body builders did. It’s just the supplements industry found this ever booming market. You really think body building icon Arnold Schwarzenegger shakes some pre-workout before pumping iron?

Weight Loss: It’s a general belief that cardiovascular exercises boost fat loss against weight lifting exercises, in reality it’s opposite, lifting weights not just build muscles but plays a bigger and faster role in fat loss as well. Calories count can help losing extra fat, by calories intake lower than calories utilized in a day, along with weight lifting.

Hollywood: Ever wondered how come these big Hollywood stars gain those muscles and get ripped so quick? It’s Anabolic steroids use under the direction of a physician. Among notable exceptions is Henry Cavill aka Superman. Yes, Henry's Muscles Are All Natural (& The Result Of Hard Work)

Vegetarianism: It’s a myth that one has an advantage in body building if non-vegetarian. All the needed protein can be supplemented with vegetarian/vegan diet as well. An example is P90X creator Tony Horton, few other known athletes/bodybuilders Famous Vegetarian and Vegan Bodybuilders (and Athletes) • VegetarianBodybuilding.com.

Heavy Weight vs Light Weight: To build muscles one just not have to lift heavy but lighter weights with more reps are necessary as well, different muscle fibers get active/broken/build while lifting lighter weights with more reps. For example an Olympic heavy lifter may not look as ripped compared to a same weight body builder, as former focuses more on heavy lifting and latter for a show, of course former is stronger too though may not look like one.

Economy: Healthier the people is not just good for one’s own personal economics but the nations as well. Working out regularly leads to less health complication in life, less visits to doctor, good for one’s pocket in a long run, resulting in low Govt. spending in Healthcare. Just imagine recent California cigarette smoking restrictions to age 21 and beyond has been projected to less spending for the state in Healthcare for future, so what would happen if every one of us become healthy? So, take out an hour of your day and save heavy by putting just $25 on gym subscription.

All the best and stay healthy.

Schoenfeld has written a few Metas and done studies that contradict a large part of the whole bro-split high rep programming. In one study, where volume was the same, a frequency of 2 times a week saw a larger cross section gain in lean mass than the once a week split.

Another meta pointed out that rep schemes of 5 were only 10% less effective at hypertrophy than reps to 10. At the same time reps to 5 were between 15-20% better at strength. Both 5 & 10 were better than higher reps for hypertrophy. So for efficiency reps to 5 seem king. Makes you wonder why most novice programming don’t use reps to 5.....oh wait ;)

Not to be rude, but why are you posting clickbate like this is Buzzfeed? There really isn't anything useful in it just like all clickbate.

One thing I found interesting about Arnold was in an interview he talked about him and his partner would go to the "House of Pies" and they'd eat an entire cherry pie as part of their recovery.
