Anyone losing and eating at 0.5lb loss-maintenance on the weekends?

I’m losing about a pound a week and eat at or above maintenance 1-2 days a week. It’s been working so far - I’ve been at this a little over a year and have lost 41 pounds.

0.5lbs = 1750cals deficit. When you are going to make it is your personal choice. You are going to lose 0.5lbs everytime you accumulate a deficit of 1750cals.

Even in maintenance I eat at small deficit during the week so I can eat more on the weekends, it worked the same when I was losing.

I'm down 1.4 pounds this morning so eating near maintenance this weekend didn't harm anything. I'm going to set my goal as 1580, scratch that...1830 calories a day throughout the work week and higher on the weekend. :)

I keep a little extra deficit during the week and eat at maintenance + on weekends. It's working well, also at .5lbs per week rate.

yup, its the way I have always done it, there is no way I could survive the weekend on a deficit, whilst my wife and child delight in cake, desserts, pastries and wine (not the kid)

so now I eat under my goal during the week to make up for the eating at maintanence or above at the weekend

I've always done this during both maintenance and weight loss. I find it pretty easy most of the time to maintain a deficit during the week and much harder on the weekend, when I frequently eat out and have less control and knowledge as to the number of calories any given food item has.
