Hello, my name is Amber . Does anyone have any tips on how to get started ?

    As an old Chinese proverb goes, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
    Just take it day to day and don't get caught up on the number on the scale. Nor dont worry if it takes you longer to see the results that your looking for. Stay the course and you will be successful.
    Measure and account for everything.
    Get a digital scale for measuring.
    Figure out your calorie intake and your macros and stay with in those parameters.
    Find accountability partners and friends that will support you.

    Welcome!
    Log everything! Including things like ketchup, sour cream, cheese etc. It helps you to see the overall picture in everything.
    Take small steps and make changes slowly. Plan to drink more water one week. Add more fruits/vegetables in another week.

    I started off just browsing the nutrition section of different forums like this one. Bodybuilding . Com forums are also full of great info and some of their articles are worth a read (not all lol) anyone feel free to add me if youre looking for advice or have any advice to share!
