Im on.my weight lose journey. I'm trying hard to bring my weight down but somehow I'm going wrong track. May be because of food intake measurement. I don't exactly know how to measure food intake and to calculate calories intake. Advice are appreciated.
Thank you!

Invest in a food scale and measuring cups and spoons. Weight solids, use cups/spoons for liquids.
For example, I made a trail mix. I put a small prep container on the food scale, tared the weight of the container. Added the amount of sesame sticks I wanted, tared. Added the amount of coconut flakes I wanted, tared. Continued for each ingredient. I then scanned the barcodes and plugged all my numbers in.
For recipes, I use the recipe builder and give myself some calorie leeway in case I have to make substitutions (I haven't reached the point where I need to tighten up on tracking, but I will also start weighing recipes as well in the future).
And learn to guesstimate with some accuracy. Hubby and I eat out on weekends, usually at places that don't have calories listed, so we have to find entries that could be close options.
It takes some getting used to, but once you learn to do it, things go pretty quick.1 -
