Help! How do I know how many steps MFP gives me credit for?

Does MFP give "credit" for so much walking exercise or steps a day based on my profile and calculates how many calories i can have based on that? How do I know if I need to add additional distance or steps? I have an apple watch but it looks like that is no longer supportable by MFP so I can't synch anything. For example: does MFP give me credit for 5k steps daily? then if I do 10k I have to add those 5k somewhere ??

Apple watch SHOULD sync. Are you sure you have set it up correctly? Search these forums for trouble shooting. I don't have an Apple watch but know a LOT of people here do.

I've searched & searched but the help section says effective August they don't support it. At least that's how I read it. I'll keep looking, thanks. It was working last year but it doesn't seem to be working anymore - or maybe I'm not walking enough

Oh yay! Glad you figured it out!

As far as eating, shoot for 25%-50% of your exercise calories. Watches are notorious for overestimating calories burned.
