Looking for advice.
So, I want to be accurate on my meal logging but what do I do when my meal is not listed in the database food match. From there, MFP wants me to list the calories (as if I would know), fiber, protein, fat etc. in the recipe [if] I enter it myself.
Here is what it was: Fried 80/20 hamburger (mostly), diced carrots, celery, onions and button mushrooms. (Actually the wife cooked it) but we both ate about a 1.5 to 2 cups of this fry-up. I've run into this problem before and just want to be right. How do I figure out the macros stuff and/or is there a easy way that you all know of?
Thank you.

Use a digital scale and weigh all solids/semi-solids, measure liquids and plug the info into the recipe builder. ( You could ask your wife nicely to record the info)

It sounds like you are trying to create a new My Foods item. My Foods are for individual food items not already in the Food Database.

Use the Recipe Tool to create a Recipe (a combination of existing food items added together) instead.

Oh thank you guys - just trying to do this right. It took me forever to learn how to just add foods.
