Long ago, I used to swear by those detox plans, I now know better. I do feel that right now I need to take my diet down to basics (as clean as possible), and gradually add in foods to see how they affect me.
I know there are no "superfoods", and I know the obvious is to start by staying away from common allergic type foods like dairy, wheat, shellfish, eggs, nuts, as well as foods that are inflammatory (sugars, salts, breads).
I want to start simple, then when I feel my body is "cleaner" start adding other foods in to see how my body reacts.
What so you recommend to start with?
Vegan and alkaline as in the Thrive diet book (basically fresh veg, fruit, and legumes)?
The whole 30 (basically paleo) ?
Whole living action plan? http://www.wholeliving.com/216861/2013-action-plan-week-1/@center/216880/2013-whole-living-action-plan (lots of lentils, mainly veg, nuts & seeds, and fruit smoothies for breakfast)
Or just start with veggies and brown rice, and add foods over time?
I am not aware that I am "allergic" to anything, however I feel better when I don't eat a lot of carby things.
I want to do this sensibly, and not just join the latest fad. I'm the type that sometimes has to do a complete re-start and re-learn how to do something rather than making small changed I'll forget about.

ummmm i'm not quite sure what kind of information you're looking for. why do you need to gradually add foods to your diet? and what is a re-boot? i reboot my computer when it crashes but i'm not a computer so why would i reboot myself. you might just be putting WAY TOO MUCH thought into all this. drink lots of water, eat healthy foods and fats (yes i said eat healthy fats) and exercise.0
