Hi Guys,
How do you measure your jacket/baked potatoes in the microwave. I just put a 400g raw spud in the microwave and it weighed 285g after it was cooked.
The calories are different. Which do I put in my diary? Thanks!

When I eat potatoes, I log the uncooked weight (using an entry for raw potato). The weight that is lost is mostly water, so the raw weight is more accurate.

use the raw weight...it didn't lose calories by being cooked, it lost water.

The US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference may be just what you need when you're looking for some clarification.

This link provides details for an uncooked potato (you'll prolly want to be more specific about what kind of potato and how it's been prepared in your searches). https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/3080
