    There are no scientific studies thus far that have proven that grapefruit has any magical powers.....although "The Grapefruit Diet" or some form of it has been around for many years. Basically, most forms of the diet are a well-rounded balanced low-calorie diet with grapefruit thrown in, so you would lose weight by following it, with or without the grapefruit!!
