Hey everyone, so we're considering picking up a Nokia Body+ scale and I wondered if anyone has any experience with them. In addition to being more accurate than our $10 Walmart scale I think the tracking and additional metrics will keep me interested and help me work towards goals. I'm totally a gadget and gear person. Plus I like that it can calculate muscle and bone and sort of show you how your body is composed. I'm sure it's less than perfect, but anyone have thoughts or experience?

I have a Withings scale, so similar as Nokia bought them out.

Mine just shows BF% (as well as weight). Consensus here at MFP is that the BF% is pretty unreliable, so I'm not sure if the other measurements will be any better (muscle mass, water, bone mass).

I do like it as I just have to step on it and everything is updated automatically, so no forgetting to enter a weight. I also like gadgets.

I got mine on clearance, but they are not cheap and, for weight, may be no better than the $10 scale.

I have a Nokia Body (not a Body+ -- I don't think bf% is accurate enough to pay a significant premium for) and I like it a lot. I use trendweight and happyscale with it to track my weight trends.

I just bought this today. I have a tanita, but wanted one to automatically upload data. You'd be surprised how accurate they are. I used to get hydrostatically tested every 13 weeks and they were pretty damn close to the scales info. This and the tanita were close tonight. In any case, it will still show you the changes based on the same machines still a measurement to go by. I think this will be fun. I got it at bed bath and beyond with a coupon, $80. I have no problem investing that amount into my health.
