Does anyone use books for motivation, guidance, or just to read about someone else that has lost weight?

i read books about different lifting programs which i find motivating if that's what you mean. I like Mark Rippetoe - Starting Strength is good to start out with. also like Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 books. They guide my workouts and motivate me too0

A few books that motivated me, but aren't guidance or weight-loss specific:
- Iron War: Dave Scott, Mark Allen, & the Greatest Race Ever Run, by Mark Fitzgerald
- Natural Born Heroes: How a Daring Band of Misfits Mastered the Lost Secrets of Strength & Endurance, by Christopher McDougall
- The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, by Daniel James Brown0
