Just got a fit bit. Not sure if I am doing it right but when I sync my fit bit it seems that I am not burning as many calories as when I enter my exercise manually. Any help would be great. Thanks

What kind of exercise? FitBit calories burned is really for walking/running. It doesn't understand things like cycling and weight training, and they recommend that you log those types of activities manually.0

Fit bit is great for any step based activity. If you are really trying to better track your calorie burn you will need a Heart Rate Monitor. Preferably one that syncs with your pc and/or phone. I use the fitbit as a reminder and motivator to move more at work and around the house. When I do go running I have found that its distance measurement is a little off but have been too lazy to measure my stride and fix it.
I have found MFP's calorie burn allotments on the high side. That being said I wear my fitbit even at the gym, its not going to tell me a darn thing about my weight lifting but I dont have to manually log my cardio run at the end. Be sure you join the Fitbit group here on MFP!0 -
I just got mine 3 days ago and I am currently trying to verify the stats it creates versus my heart rate monitor and gps for runs. So far it seems to be fairly consistant I would say within 5%. but I did take the time to determine my stride length for walking and running and was totally bewildered when I found out there is only 6" differance!0
