Got to get it off my chest - the good witch

Ok, so I have not seen a single episode of the tv show the good witch, but I have walked past someone else watching it a few times and spoken to my sister about it a little.

It boggles my mind and I am hoping someone here can explain something for me.

Firstly, the show is called the good witch, the promotional images often show the main characters with magic sparks in their hands.

But in the show no spells are cast or magic performed?

The only magicical powers that they seem to have is the ability to tell if someone is about to enter the room or that someone is standing behind them or that there is a pop quiz.

So basically next to no magical witch powers?

But then they have an episode where they lose their powers for a day? So they went from barely any power to no power at all?

Can anyone explain this show? Why it is called the good witch? Why the promotional art shows magic? Why there seems to be no magic in the show at all?

Anyone else found a tv show that just boggles their mind? How it can exist or have popularity?

    Lol! I enjoyed each movie of this series. I'm "meh" on the tv show so I can't speak much on that.

    In the movie though they did do some light spells. For example, in the first movie Cassie gave Brandon an amethyst cluster and gave strict instructions on how to deal with a bully (he had to make the bully touch it and return the cluster back to her). And it worked.

    I don't recall seeing any spells in the tv show other then having powers, like Cassie or Grace sensing when someone enters the room without looking.

    You are making me want to binge watch the TV show OP. lol
