Gardening is much more fun in January. Planning new garden beds, buying seeds, etc.

No nasty biting critters and working in the unbearable heat and humidity that the execution of said plans requires.

Positive about winter? I like the seasonality, how different all the seasons are where I live.

Kinda morbid but I like the idea of a cycle and winter being the death or dormancy. I like looking at the empty, bare trees covered in snow especially, it's beautiful.

I love the look of fresh snow covering everything.

I like being super cold, and then getting warm, simple luxury that feels good.

    It has and does.

ETA: But it's the nice 28-degrees snow. Where everyone gets to stay home and nice warm jacket is enough.

Not northern lake effect snow that only blows sideways and with hate and feet upon feet pile up and its below zero (F)

I lived through that storm, it was horrendous.

Me too. Took me 18 hours to get home from work and I had frost bitten feet.

I like not worrying about lawn care in the winter.

You can get away with not showering for 5-7 days. No one will know.

No wasps or lawn maintenance. Or the combination of running over an underground wasp nest with your lawnmower. That.was fun.

The air feels really clean. After a lot of fluffy snow, the air is so quiet.

Hockey Season. Ice Skating. Winter Olympics. Indoor training for endurance athletes can be used effectively. Change helps us to appreciate other seasons. Brisk air. A fresh snow in the woods can be so beautiful and peaceful. Every day you wake up can be a wonderful day, whether its 84 and sunny, 10 degrees and a couple inches of snow, and everything in between! Love Life!!!

It is only one of four seasons.

My BD is in February, along with wife’s BD and wedding anniversary.

    Olympics?

I prefer a post about the negatives of winter instead.

Regardless, no heat stroke for us outdoor workers.
