Hi! My diet is mostly plant based, I am Nightshade vegetable free and I need to lose weight. I have Arthritis in my knees and fingers and can't walk as much as I used to. Any diet ideas.

Enter your stats in to MFP to get a calorie goal for weight loss, eat the foods safe for you in quantities that fit your calorie goal - do this accurately by weighing all solids, measuring all liquids and using database entries you've double/triple checked have the right information.

Weight loss doesn't require exercise - it would be beneficial for your health and you may find that as you lose weight you can start to incorporate more movement. Perhaps consider seeing a physiotherapist for exercises that may help you...

I hear ya, I have osteoarthritis in my feet and hands. But I've found that doing less doesn't make it better so I keep on keeping on, even though it's uncomfortable.

The post above ^^^ is solid. And on the plus side, less weight will ease the knee pain significantly. Good luck.
