When can you use a jogging stroller?

Specifically, at what age is it safe to use it with an infant? 6 months? Older?

I jog slower than most of you walk, but the sidewalks around here are a mess.

I'll be upgrading from a single to a double, and I think there is just a part of me that's ready to get rid of my rusty, ugly old secondhand jogger .. that unfortunately pushes like a dream.
