I couldn't find a group for weight loss and bodybuilding, so I'm posting here.
How do I calculate macros for weight loss? I'm a vegetarian.

Usually people suggest .75-1g of protein per pound of lean body mass (or per kg). .4g of fat per pound then let carbs fill it in. I only worry about protein though. Calories are where is matters most for weight loss. You won’t gain much muscle if any while in a deficit but you can at least maintain what you have through doing weights and eating protein.3

I need help here too. I weigh 180, im a 64 yo female, I'm 5'4 and want to lose 20 lbs. I'm not in a hurry. I lift heavy 2x a week and do cardio intervals on the other days and pilates 2x a week. How do I get the extra protein I need without eating too many calories to lose weight?0
