I start a 2 week vacation with no real plans ... just being out of the office is cause for celebration!

I'm not Canadian, but live about 2 miles from the Lynden crossing in WA. I see Blaine (another crossing town near by) has a convenient street fair Drayton Harbor Days to lure you guys down here.

I had to look it up, but have a good Provincial Day holiday weekend!

Golf, ATVing, and my Dads birthday party.

Im also hoping to watch some football with the boys. The CFL is a lot more fun to watch than the NFL.

Just hoping to relax a bit. I moved at the end of June and it feels like all of July has been spent unpacking. The weather isn't looking like it is going to be too great here so probably just curling up with a book or a movie (it feels like it has been a long time since we have had any down time!)

Just curious. Is this the common reference for you guys if you are coming down here? If not, what other terms do you use? It just struck me when I saw this answer.

When I lived in Alaska we called it the "lower 48".

I hear it a bit though the most common one around here is going to the States.
