Introducing myself!

Hi!

I'm Ian, from London and I'm here to try and lose weight. I have a lovely family and a decent desk job, but for last 6 years was downtrodden and not very motivated and gained a lot of weight. BUT! New job, new times and new motivation! I've been on myfitnesspal on and off for a while but this week have started properly. I NEVER exercise, my usual excuse was "aint got time luv!" or "my job is enough exercise!" or whatever!

Well now, this week. 4th week in my job, I am now cycling to work! 10 years ago I used to love cycling and I allowed things like marriage and kids and work to stop me. I used to dance in clubs and played football (soccer!) badly! Yesterday best day yet, I overcome all the challenging hills that I come across to and from work!

I'm 5'10, 15stone 9lbs with a BMI of over 31, which is awful! I track my exercise using my Samsung Galaxy S2 with Endomondo Pro, allowing me to see how long it takes me in my journey plus calories burned, which automatically updates my MFP info!

I'm tracking my food intake and MFP has advised an intake max of 1900 calories, as I am looking to take weight off slowly and keep it off, my goal is 1lb a week loss and hope to see good change by the middle of next year.
One thing for me is healthy food. I eat chips....deep fried. If I oven cooked em or made one or 2 jackets i'm laughing. My portion sizes are big too and I aint shy of having seconds. I think the thing for me is hunger. I need to retrain my stomach. fruit for snacks.
But beer and cocacola is my downfall!! I started on diet coke today...mmm sweeteners...but that's another debate altogether right.
