Im 150lb and want to lose 20lb. I have been to a dietician and she insists my protein requirement is 48g, carbs 125g and refused to talk about fat content. I have done several searchers and my protein requirement to lose weight is 130g approx. I would welcome your assistance and help.

There isn't a "protein requirement to lose weight". There is a protein recommendation to help you save lean mass as you lose weight. That would definitely be more than 48g. And fat is very important for hormone health and nutrient absorption.
I'm sorry friend, your RD does not sound great.5 -
Depending on where she works she may be required to base your protein off of a very specific recommendation. I personally would constantly feel hungry with protein that low. The typical suggestion on MFP is .8 grams per pound of lean body mass. I've calculated it for a wide variety of women and 100 grams seems to be about average.5

46-48g protein a day is the minimum recommended daily amount to avoid malnutrition issues1

Hi All,
Dietician basically said it was my hormones. Any advice?

Are you polycystic, or is it menopause, or,?, there are a lot of threads by people with health issues, so if you use the search function on the forums you may find someone with similar issues0

so she said your weight is based on your hormones?0 -
Hi - this must be so frustrating for you. I see a hormone doctor regularly - it does make a difference to my life. I also know that too much soy is not my friend it makes me put on weight and be cranky.

Are you saying they have diagnosed an unspecified hormonal condition based on no results or tests and because of that want to put on on the absolute bare minimum of protein?
And a dietitian also won't discuss fat at all with their client?
This is sounding very weird!
Have you checked their qualifications?
I'm not a runner but based on what you have said so far I would run away.....
