Hi guys,
Why do you have to drink more water the following day? Like in case of drinking alcohol?
Thanks

The water retention will recede by itself, drinking more water can help but its not essential.

In simple terms, the reason most people suggest drinking more water is that retention can often be caused by being dehydrated in the first place and your body is trying to hang on to what it has. If you drink sufficient water to keep yourself hydrated the body doesn't have to do that.
