Back pain after weight loss

I have noticed after losing a bunch of weight my back is pretty sore pretty often. Anyone else get this and was it temporary?

I am sure it was my body being used to the weight and now that it is not there my posture must be different.

    Posture change can definitely happen with weight loss. I had some minor issues with discomfort from it. Working on posture, plus some help from my massage therapist and osteopath (I'm older and have other issues ;) ) were useful. Ialso changed my sleep position, and did more stretching.

    I'd suggest consulting your doctor, just in case. If a physical therapy referral is possible, that could be a big help. The PT folks can be pretty magical about pinpointing issues and recommending exercises.

    Do you do any core-strengthening exercises? Some strengthening of weaker areas could help, but I'd hesitate to do anything extreme without a diagnosis, just in case. Backs are important. ;)

    I study martial arts and tai chi. I have a pretty strong core. I did see my chiropractor and that helped but I think I am due for a good massage!

    how big is your deficit ? .. do you feel like you are running out of energy by the end of the day. ?

    when I am in a deficit and my muscles tire, other muscles have to do more work and I get a back ache ... if I eat more this doesnt happen ?

    My deficit is only 200-300 calories. Thank you for the insight. I will test that out and see.
