Reassurance

Help! I need reassurance. I have cellulitis in my leg and have had to to take one rest day this week due to it (I rarely take rest days...usually I run 7 days a week, an average of 6 to 8 miles per day...) I went on a very abbreviated run yesterday from what I’m used to and now I’m paying for it today. There is no way I can run today but I was contemplating riding my bike but I don’t know if that’s a good idea either. I’m thinking if I completely rest it that would be best. I’m afraid though of taking too many days off in the week, eating my regular calories (about 2200-2300) and gaining weight. I’ve always been told that if you take rest days you should still eat the same calories. I’m in maintenance mode and not trying to lose but I don’t want to gain any weight either. Help! Thoughts? Reassurance? Comments?
