Eating enough

Hey!
I’m not new to MyFitnessPal but I am getting back to eating better. I have been eating out and drinking cokes for a long long long time. I dropped the cokes and now just drink water. To get my water intake I have to drink it alll day because I’m just not used to it and it doesn’t taste as good as coke. So I drink it all day long to get my four 20z bottles down. I am craving it more now which is good. As far as eating goes, i was eating out almost every meal. I know I was eating so many calories. I meal prepped and it is 1400 calories. I am lightly active as a teacher and I set my goal to lose minimum weight possible per week. My goal is to lose but just slowly. I can hardly get all my food down. I am eating almond butter, kodiak cakes, fruit, grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, cheese, ground turkey, beans, etc. Not a lot of sweets or processed foods. I have yet to eat every meal. I’m full. Will I get use to it. I don’t want to force feed myself. I know it seems silly that I could eat 3000 bad calories but not enough good calories. I know not eating enough is bad too. Any advice?

Based on the foods you listed, it should be fairly easy to hit 1400 calories. Double check the entries you are using in the database - many are user entered and wrong. If you aren't using a food scale, you are probably eating more than you think too. There are some very common logging errors that all of us made when we are started out! Check out the Most Helpful Posts thread stickied at the top of the board, and first make sure you are logging accurately.
Also with such a drastic diet change, it's normal for it to take a week or two to get used to it, so that might be the problem. But you don't want to let it go much longer than that.
And you don't have to force yourself to drink a certain amount of water. If your pee is light yellow, you're getting plenty. :drinker:2 -
To add to the fine advice above: Monitor your weight over time - if you're losing at expected rate, and not a lot faster, you're not eating too little.0
