I’ve signed up for Jiu-Jitsu classes and although I’m in way better shape than I was 30 lbs ago.. I’m still not in great shape.
Question is...
after taking the class 2 days ago I’m obviously sore. I knew I would be and I can deal with it but wondering if there is anything to do to make the soreness go away faster?
Any tips to help me recover before the next class

There is more and more research that shows active recovery is the best way to deal with DOMS. As you adapt, it won't be so bad. Hang in there!0 -

This but I'll add in sleep. I don't think most people get enough sleep and it is a key part of recovery.2 -
I'm just throwing in my own experience, n=1, anecdata etc:
After my first marathon I was SO sore. Hobbling sore. Struggling up and down stairs sore. The thing that made the biggest difference was jumping on the elliptical and doing a moderate/easy workout.1 -
