Hi there.... I am a single mom that has been in a rut for the past 11 years, unhappy with her weight and looking to finally do something about it. I was ALWAYS thin, until I got pregnant and gave birth. I never had to exercise before or watch what I ate, so I thought the weight would just drop off after childbirth....ha,ha,ha,ha..... boy was I WRONG!!! I have tried different diets over the years, and lost some weight, but eventually gained it all back. I just recently quit smoking in February of this year and have put on an additional 15 pounds these past couple of months since. I had smoked for almost 30 years, and I am very happy that I have finally put those nasty things behind me, but the extra weight is dis-heartening. I want to take control of my life again and be healthy. Hopefully this site will help me learn to count my calories and reach my fitness goals!!!

Congrats on quitting smoking!!! That is a huge accomplishment in its self. So far I have lost 10 lbs in the last couple of months. I have been a member of this site for a little while and was doing awesome when I first started but then I had a few health problems that were preventing me from exercising so I fell off the wagon. Well, I had surgery at the end of March and after I recovered I picked back up with exercising and watching what I'm eating. I love this site and you will get so much support here. It's awesome!0
