Hi folks.
I’ve been using MFP for a few weeks now. My target is to lose 28Kg this year and reach 99Kg. So far I am 5 weeks into my new regime and I am pleased with losing 6Kg. I’ve achieved this by using my daily MFP calorie goal by eating lower calorie food and being inspired by UK chef Tom Kerridge’s book and TV program “How to lose weight for good”. Also just being more careful about what I eat. Avoiding the work’s canteen full English breakfasts and snacking on crisps. I’m pleasantly surprised how my snacking cravings have been reduced and my determined mindset is driving me forward. Ok some days are harder than others especially when I am away from home on a business trip. Whenever I’ve had an above budget day, I don’t beat myself up about it, I just make sure the next day hits the calorie budget. I’ve also been using a Garmin Vivoactive HR watch linked with MFP. It’s been a good insight into my daily (in)activities at work. As I am now swimming 2 times a week it records distance etc. I’m quite competitive so it has enabled me to ensure I meet or exceed the swimming goal I set for that session as I can see how far I have swum. I’ve not yet set my self time goals. Maybe in the future.
So far so good. I know the early weight is the easiest to lose but I feel my early success is laying a great foundation to achieve my goal.
Thanks for reading this far.
