While I don't train, I'd exercise daily but due to being stricken, with situational depression; I haven't since Tuesday & am uncertain, when I'll begin again but I was beyond, my 1st level; of intensity/duration!

Therefore, my question's: When upon average'd it be necessary, to either return to a most recent; previous fitness level or even start, at square 1 again because of not, at least maintaining; 1's prior fitness abilities?

Sorry for your hard times. I think the most important thing is to listen to your body. Depending on how long you've been off and where you were at before, the answer will vary. I always start off a little less, even if i've been off only a couple weeks due to travel or whatever, or after being sick. There is nothing wrong with starting off light then rebuilding based on your body's response. It may not take as long to get back where you were.
If possible, at least do some walking or light workout during your down time. Anything is better than nothing. Hope you are feeling better soon.
