I used MFP 5 years ago to loose 70lbs, I was diligent and logged everything, went to the gym 5+ times a week. I looked great and I felt great about myself. Enter man of my dreams, and we both started gaining “relationship weight”.

Now, we are 8 months out from our wedding, and I said I would loose the weight starting a year ago (before he even proposed). I have lost a fluctuating 5-10 lbs since that point. It’s crunch time now. My dress should be ready for the first fitting in a month or so, and of course I ordered the smaller size when I fell in between two sizes. I knew I had to do something!!

A few days ago, after we have been discussing loosing the weight together, I challenged him to use MFP with me. BEST decision!! We have both been logging everything, even when I have gone over. I don’t get discouraged about that, right now it’s about making the habit.

I see a personal trainer once a week for an hour now. With a half hour of cardio, and a half hour of strength training (I go today and I’m going to ask him to help me log the strength training part). BUT I need to add more exercise into my week. I hate exercising, love the feeling after, but getting into the gym causes a LOT of social anxiety. So I’m trying to figure out things I will actually do to get moving.

Any tips or tricks? The two of us don’t want to work out together because we are at different levels of capabilities and we want to keep that separate. We are doing this as individuals working towards a goal, not as a team.

Also, interested in anyone wanting to connect. We are both in our thirties, no kids, and would love to have more friends (especially if we could meet up). We live in Marietta, GA, and are both workaholics.
