Run or Dye

This is my 1st "race." I'm running this tomorrow by myself. More like jog and walk.
Have any Of you done this or color run? What did you wear? Also, did you carry a bag for your keys and phone? I won't have anywhere else to put them.
Thanks!

does that link work?
my friend just ran it. be aware, everything you wear will be in color by the end of the run.
I see some are wearing knapsacks on their backs.. I have a little one I could wear when running, that would carry only keys/bottle water.
I can't wait for one to come to my area.
Good luck and have fun!!0 -
I did a Color Run in Seattle a few months back. I wore a plain white tshirt (the official race tshirt did not come in a big enough size for me) and my regular workout pants. I have a band thing that wraps around my arm....that i put my phone and keys in. One thing is for sure - do not bring a camera with you...those fine dust particles will ruin a camera. I carried a disposable waterproof camera with me....but even then there was too much color dust on the lens to make for good pics - - but SOOOOO much fun!
I hope you will find everyone super supportive and happy! I only walked.....no jogging at all.....and people were really nice...and i wasn't the last one in.
Have fun!0 -
Wear a white shirt. (It's required!) ;o) It will most likely be ruined so wear an old or cheap one. (you will be given a color run one when you pick up your packet if you want to wear that). I also just wore my regular black work out capris. I didn't worry about my shoes too much and the color has eventually worn off. I would suggest wearing sunglasses you don't care about (they sell a super cheap pair at the race) because the dust will get in your eyes.
You will be coated in a super fine powder and everything you touch (camera, phone) will get some dust on it. I just kept my phone in my pocket and wiped it off after. (it's in a case) The first year I did put it in a ziploc and brought an old camera to take pictures with instead.
I've done it the past two years and it is a TON of fun! You will have a great time!0 -
When I run races on my own I leave my phone in my car and take my car key off the ring and make sure I wear workout pants or shirt with the little pocket in them for my key.0

I did one here in San Francisco.. OMG the vibe was so fun and the excitement of getting dye thrown at you is awesome.
When you're done with your Run/walk stay for the "party" at the stage. Let the dye rain on you.
And bring extra clothes from shoes shirt pants you will need it.
I have pics but how do u post it here0 -
Thanks for all the tips and feedback! I'm looking forward to it.0
