Calorie goal

How do I know if my daily calorie goal is too high? I'm losing weight with my current calorie goal but MFP generated my calorie goal and is that accurate?

If you're losing weight then your calorie goal has successfully got you to a deficit.
Are you saying you have a current goal that you got some other way and your MFP goal is higher? If so, what's the difference between the goals and how did you get your initial goal?
We'll need more information to be able to offer advice.0 -
If you are losing weight with the calorie target MFP gave you (and eating to it, not under it) and losing weight, then you are doing it right.
Around every 10lbs or so lost, you should re-input your info into the MFP wizard and get a new calorie goal.0 -
If you’re losing weight at the suggested rate, then it’s accurate. If you aren’t, then you want to ensure your logging is as accurate as possible (food scale, correct entries, recipe builder, etc.). If so, then you’ll want to change your activity level. Ultimately, though, it’s just an estimate.0
