Toned Arms...please!

Good morning,

I'd like to tone my arms! NOT BULK UP, but tone and be more defined. What should I do? Please help! :smiley:

    Do you have any weight to lose? Usually just lowering your body fat% will define the arms.

    Lowering bf will definitely help. If you don't want to lose weight, look in to recomp...

    Being toned and defined is a function of being lean enough (low body fat) to show the underlying muscle... so you need low enough body fat for the muscle to be visible, but you also need enough muscle to have something to show. It takes both.

    Not knowing anything about you, I'd make a couple very general recommendations - start with a small calorie deficit and exercise, preferably strength training of some sort. Then be really really really really patient. And consistent. But mostly patient. And consistent.

    Also just so you're aware... all of this is subjective (toned vs bulky vs fit vs whatever other word you want to use)... so you'll have to decide what type of look you like vs don't like as you go. Just monitor things for yourself and make small adjustments as needed.
