I just did a short 15 minute Tai Chi video on YouTube and really enjoyed it - does anyone have any recommendations of videos or channels to follow on YouTube?

Look up Dr. Paul Lam. He has a membership based website but has a few videos floating on YouTube. Also check your local library for DVD's and community center for cheap classes.

The main thing with Tai Chi is to make sure your teacher is legit. Tai Chi isn’t a groovy, flowery movement thing, it is a martial art. The reason it is good for you is that, not only does it improve your range of motion and balance, it strengthens your muscles, and it improves the flow of your life force—your Chi—which revitalizes all your physical and mental systems. Each movement is either a blow or a deflection. This is helpful to know because even a novice can look at a practitioner and have a pretty good idea if they’d want to be in a fight with them!
There should also be a great deal of emphasis on the positioning of the knee (not out past the toes), the rhythm of breath (strengthens the blows and builds Chi), and the concepts of tucking your butt and imagining a string running from your tailbone up through the top of your head to help you keep your spine straight. Good luck!
