Recently I’ve found out I may have PCOS. I was reading a few articles and saw your diet could help treat this. Does anyone have any tips or foods they suggest?

This isn't a treatable condition, but diet and activity help manage some of its aspects, here are some tips:

    - Generally, the vast majority of overweight women with PCOS tend to be insulin resistant, although not all. A lower carb diet (not necessarily very low if you don't find it sustainable, and not necessarily at all if you aren't insulin resistant) seems to be preferable.

    - Cardio is particularly great for PCOS, but strength training has many benefits for everyone in general so don't skip that.

    - Weight loss if you're overweight seems to be the best thing you could do for this condition, even trumps diet changes.

    - Stress management is also good because our stress hormones (I have PCOS too) tend to go out of whack. How out of whack varies from person to person, but trying to manage your stress is good regardless.

    - Sun exposure would be good too, as we tend to have low vitamin D levels.

    - Yesterday I found out coffee could be good for PCOS, who knew!

I second what was mentioned above . . . although weight loss seems to go hand in hand with diet changes.

The biggest thing to remember with PCOS is that it's not a reason why you can't lose weight; it might make it difficult but it doesn't mean you can't.

Best of luck to you :)

Low-carb actually has some promising results for ladies with PCOS. Check out the www.reddit.com/r/xxketo community.
