Apple Watch active or total cals?

Hey!

I use my Apple Watch to log calories burned through work out, I only log the active calories rather then the total calories burned - is that right or do I need to be logging the total?

I’m assuming the total cals burned takes into consideration the cals that I would burn in that time frame just ‘living’ so that would be double logging?

At the end of the day my usual active cals calories burned are about 400 more than I actually log...

I’m losing weight, so it’s not a huge issue, I just like to make sure I’m logging as accurately as possible!

Thanks!

If you are manually entering your workouts, then you should only log the active calories registered during workouts. MFP is already accounting for the passive calories and your activity level would cover the rest.
