Fitbit

I have linked accounts between MFP and Fitbit website. MFP is acknowledging I am using the Fitbit, but the added calories for exercise are not coming up. It also won't specifically say how much I have done.

Under the home tab you can see your steps under check-in to be sure it is working. Under the exercise tab you'll see an adjustment only if you go above and beyond what MFP assumes you'll burn in a day. For me I have to hit somewhere above 5,000 steps to get an adjustment under the exercise tab.

Lets walk through this step by step.

    Step 1:

Go to your home page and select Goals. (circled in red on picture)

    Step 2:

Now looking at this page, there is several things you want to take note of.
    - Calories Burned from Normal daily Activity : This is what MFP thinks you burn before exercise. Depending on the activity level you picked, depends how high this number is.
    - Daily Calorie Deficit: This is the number of calories subtracted from your daily activity calorie burn which gives you your MFP goal to eat at.

    Step 3:

    Click Exercise.

    Step 4:

-Look at what the adjustment is. If the number is negative, it is going to take calories away from your daily goal. If it is positive, it is going to add calories to your daily goal.
-See the little "i", click it

    Step 5:

-Look at the number of calories fitbit says you burned.
-Now remember the number of calories MFP thought you burned through daily activity from step 2.
    - Take Fitbit Calorie Burn - MFP daily activity burn = your adjustment
    - Things to remember about the Fitbit calorie burn:
    1 - It's a total daily burn INCLUDING exercise.
2 - If the number of calories fitbit gives you DO NOT EXCEED MFP, then you will NOT get additional calories.
3 - If you have logged exercise on MFP, it will raise the number of calories MFP thinks you burn in a day and the number will be shown under your fitbit burn (looking at picture above, it is right under what I circled in red)
