Class right? Class and style.1

Summer suit. Vibrant light blue, no shoulder padding, butterfly lined for cool wear, patch pockets, sockless with walnut shoes. You can go tieless with this very quickly. I wear it only 2-5x a year, usually to summer weddings or outdoor concerts.
I have 5(?) suits that qualify as summer suits. This one is colored in such a way that is really only late spring and summer appropriate, and it took awhile to figure out how to accessorize it. The usual things like dark shoes and dark ties only make the blue stand out even more, and don't look right.
@KickassAmazon76 I'm showing ankle just for you!
Very nice 👌

Can't a girl just appreciate thoughtful tailoring and some cufflinks? 😩
One, you get attacked because you are allegedly successful when rest of America is on food stamps. Or you just get robbed because you have things.
Firms advise employees to dress down because of the economic pitfalls associated with people in suits. This is the number one decline for the tailoring industry. Goodwill people say their inventory of used suits is skyrocketing
If office folks don’t buy suits and suit accessories, it kills a whole line of industry. Tailors have almost closed business and are only surviving because of women’s clothes
In fact it would be more appropriate to say suits are increasing in usage among women. That’s a whole another topic.
Downtown NYC here ... suits, suits and more suits! They are everywhere lol my friends on Wall St think this is blasphemy. ☺️3 -

Always intrigued by guys who wear suits with shoes with ankle socks/no socks for the following reasons;
1) Should not be done by the likes of me who has pasty Irish white skin as it looks hideous.
2) Anytime I have worn shoes with ankle socks but not with a suit but more when I am on holidays, my ankles always get cut up when socks arent covering them with the shoes. Dont know how you all do it. The pain and the look of the ankles all cut up is horrible.2 -
Didn’t know this thread existed but here ya go! Not really a suit fan but important meetings called for it!

This sounds like a conversation you need to have with a cobbler, a podiatrist or both. If you can't break your shoes in, then maybe bespoke dress shoes could be an option for you? Looking at orthotics could be another. Or...just keep wearing socks lol Your look is your look and if you don't feel comfortable and confident in it, it will show.
As for you @billy1727, the suit looks great on you! Love how the tie cooperates nicely with the shoes and your suit's colours0 -

Not an MFPer but my regional health leader (Dr Horacio Arruda) talking about the epidemiological reasons for increasing COVID-19 restrictions...a few days after reducing them. I'm numb to it all but not so numb that I didn't notice the simple cufflink/chunky bracelet combo...

Ok this would be a suit accompaniment for me. Opinions on them? They seem more dressy casual but I think I am liking the shoe the more I see it.6

Not sure why there are disagrees, especially without any context. IMO, wear what you want. I think these shoes are fit for a dandy who'd be able to tie in the lace colour somewhere higher up on the outfit (with another accessory, for example).

Back at it again with more random, non-MFP men in the wild wearing cufflinks. This gentleman is a comedian who goes by the stage name Blaq Ron Dailey (Instagram). He had a set on KevOnStage's most recent Keep Your Distance comedy show and he commented on his attire. He prefers a vintage look, similar to what he saw men wear when he was a kid (he's in his mid-30s).
Considering the hairstyle and chunky beaded neckwear, I'd say this is neo-vintage. And, he wore it all quite nicely!
