So here’s my journeys scenario.
I look in the mirror one day or step in the scale and feel disgusting.
So I start my health kick.
I count calories, eat lots of veggies and lean meat, few carbs than usual.
I get excited to work out.
I start losing weight fast.
Then.
I get complacent.
I stop working out.
I keep eating healthy and continue to watch my calories .
But then I revert.
EVERY.SINGLE. TIME.
I can’t blame it on anyone but myself, although I wish I had support or someone to take on this journey with me, I should have better self control, but I just don’t!
SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY HELPFUL HINTS AS TO HOW I CAN BREAK THIS VICIOUS CYCLE AND KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF...
Please let me know (:

Read this book: The Power of Habit by Charles Guhigg.
Once I determined why I snacked by seeing how the afternoon and evening snacking fit the habit cycle of:
Cue leads to Routine leads to Reward
I was able to find other Rewards to satisfy the Cue, breaking the old Routine of using food and changing to a chat with coworkers or a short walk. Search the Forums for the book, you will find others that have "seen the light" after reading the book. Good luck in your journey and Live long and prosper.1
