That's hard. I don't know what your philosophy is, if you want to specialize in anything, etc.
Basic philosophy is for fitness, health, and weight loss. I also do a lot of rehab work with people who have just got stroke, surgery, gastric, etc., but I wouldn't advise on that online. That stuff is strictly hands on and is 1/2 of my current clientele. But I currently have clients that have lost 30lbs-95lbs with me and are my walking billboards in the gym, so my schedule IN the gym is pretty full. I only want to supplement with online work so I DON'T have to spend more time in the gym. I can be at home helping my DD with homework, cleaning up and making dinner and all the while still be able to "work".

What about a business name related to a mascot? Something like a mascot close to one of the local high schools?

That totem is already advertised for you in a powerful way, and it represents your local community.

It could be anything. Wildcats, bulldogs, hornets. All these people who live around you have got kids going to these schools, and they are exposed to that mascot ALL OF THE TIME.

    Free advertising.

Like, mine would be the wildcats as that is where my kids will go to high school some day.

    "The Wildcat Gym"
    "Wildcat Training"
    "Making Wildcats"

All those out of shape wildcat dad and moms wanna go back to being their high school athelete selves. And everybody associates sports and being in shape...so a mascot instantly makes you think about that on some level

Just an idea. Good luck with your business!
Lol, our highschool mascot is a Cowboy. And I'm a 9er fan.........................couldn't do it. Something to think about though. I do live in a wine making area.

That's not a business philosophy. Or your philosophy on health and fitness? Have you written yours yet?
No. Still coming up with a name. I'll figure out my business statement later. Have some friends who are pretty good writers and let them draft it for me.

I REALLY like Fitness Forever, but consulting/programming doesn't sound right, It sound slike a computer business or something. What about FITNESS FOREVER Training and Nutritional Coaching or something like that? or Fitness Forever Coaching and Nutrition. Fitness Forever Training and Nutrition Coaching.
Was hoping to stay away from coaching, but it does sound good. Pondering.

Very close to your initial thought but a little shorter -- how about Forever Fit Consulting . . . .
Like this. Will consider seriously. Thanks.

  • the best names (personally) are puns, like my old personal trainer had the last name Slack and his company was called "The Slackers Club" with the slogan 'couch potato to french fry and build a bum specialist'. And me being Armstrong, whenever I have to do this kind of thing I go by "Armstrong's Am Strong Army". A gym I worked out of for a bit named themselves over their key principle "3-1-5" because they're focused on a 3-1-5 lifting tempo, so that could be a thinking point if you have a particular focus, maybe like "3500" because there's 3500 cals in a pound of fat, if weight loss is your best seller. Or go generic and name yourself after your location. Catchy alliteration also sells well, your "Fitness Forever" and similar ideas are good

So I went with "Fit Forever Coaching/Training" and did it with Vagaro to keep costs down. I don't want to get more than 10 extra clients so I didn't go with a costly plan to run it. Thanks everyone.
