Hi, everyone!
My name is Grey, and I got serious about losing weight and improving my fitness eight weeks ago today. I've "tried" to lose weight before, but I never fully committed to the process. I'm 33 years old and 5'1". My starting weight was 200 pounds; as of today, I am down 13.2 pounds! My goal weight is 130; my "reach" goal is 125. In addition to using MFP to monitor my calorie intake, I've been doing a C25k program; it took me 8 weeks to get through the first 4 weeks of the program, but I feel like I've finally started to become a running. I also do 30 Day Shred workouts 2-3 days a week on non-running days, and I add in some short yoga workouts once a week; trying to work up to doing that 3 days a week.
I've already found these forums to be a tremendous asset for motivation and support. Feel free to add me; my diary is public. I make it a point to fit in the foods I enjoy (and wine!) as part of this journey so that I don't feel like I'm "dieting" and will be able to sustain my new lifestyle. If you're also trying to find a flexible way to stay within your calorie goals, maybe we can swap ideas!
