So eat carbs then? You don't have to got low/no carb to lose weight. I and many others lose just fine eating 200-250g carbs per day.

Keto/Atkins, etc is just a way of managing your calorie intake. It's suitable for some people because it keeps them feeling satiated, but it's not for everyone. Calories are what matter for loss.

I agree. Losing weight should not make you miserable. It's easier if you eat what you like with a few modifications, otherwise you won't stick with it long term. You are supposed to be learning how to eat for the rest of your life. So, evaluate your decision. You can change your mind. Just weigh and measure everything you eat and drink and stay within your daily calorie goal. Good luck.

Pick something sustainable. Just eat less than you normally would. Food scale for accuracy. Don't torture yourself.

I personally only know one single person who has actually been able to sustain low carb long term. Everyone else I know who tried it ended up quitting and regaining all the weight they had lost. (And in those cases, it did seem to be a good way to lose weight - just not a great way to keep it off for good.) It's cool when it works for some people, but it's not for everyone. No need to make this harder than it needs to be. Just do what works best and that is most sustainable for you. I've maintained at my goal weight for almost 7 years now, and I'm not a low-carb eater. Good luck! B)
