Working Out Every Day....

Wanted to get some feedback on something that I recently started doing. I have very little time to workout throughout the day and once everyone is fast asleep at night I have zero energy (or motivation) to go to my basement and workout. So what I've started doing is I do a dumbbell workout during my kids bath time at night (I'm in the bathroom to keep an eye on them). Here's what my schedule looks like:
Mon - Front Dumbbell Squats/One Arm Dumbbell Shoulder Press (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Tue - Push Ups/Dumbbell Rows (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Wed - Front Dumbbell Squats/One Arm Dumbbell Shoulder Press (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Thur - Push Ups/Dumbbell Rows (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Fri - Front Dumbbell Squats/One Arm Dumbbell Shoulder Press (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Sat - Push Ups/Dumbbell Rows (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Sun - Front Dumbbell Squats/One Arm Dumbbell Shoulder Press (12-15 reps/5 sets)
Mon - Push Ups/Dumbbell Rows (12-15 reps/5 sets)
etc....
Is that too much weights and not enough cardio?
Should I do a full body every other day and then maybe some jumping jacks, burpees, Mt. climbers, etc... on the other days?
Thanks!

Depending on how much weight you're working with, and how much time you have, there' no reason you couldn't do all 4 exercises every day.
Clean, Squat/Pushpress, Renegade Rows. You could work Getups into the Squat/Pushpress complex as well. Assuming you're working with 25-35 lb bells, that's a set of complexes that will take you a long way.
If you can find time in your schedule 2-3 days a week to walk/run that's probably a good idea.
Given the environment you're working in, I'd not suggest including swings or snatches.0 -
Seems like too often for my.. your triceps would be getting a workout all 6 days, as that is the secondary muscle in both shoulder prress and push ups. Doesn't seem like a well structured program that includes proper volume, frequency and recovery. why not check out an established program instead?
If these are your only choices of exercises/etc. I agree with the first poster. Do all exercises on the same day and lift 3 times per week, say Mon, Wed, Fri, and do some form of cardio on your off days (2-3 days/week).0 -
I'm using a pair of 35lb dumbbells.0
