I started weight training again, last Monday I did a big chest workout. Today is the first day I haven't felt sore from it in fact I felt wrecked all week!
I drank whey protein straight after but need something more for recovery , husband swears by creatine. The creatine drinks I have taken before I have found don't make a lot of difference.
Any ideas on recovery drinks, was going to try Protein Plus Creatine as its reasonably priced.
Taking USN dessert at bedtime as well.

Ate a lot of protein (powders or foods doesn't matter, neither does actual timing as far as you get it in in that particular day) and some carbs, have a good sleep and give it a time. That's all. There really isn't any supplements what increases your recovery time, apart from steroids of course.

Creatine is just a type of protein, it won't help you recover faster, it can help you build tiny amount of more muscle tho if you take it but that's all. Personally I just take all my creatine from natural foods such as beef, there's plenty of it, so as protein. Supplements won't help you get better gains, they are just there to replace food and make things easier for you when you can't ate food, but normal food is always better.

I definitely feel less sore with some protein shakes than others after weight sessions, but this is when i'm GAINING weight.

When I'm losing weight to be honest weight sessions don't make me feel that sore, I must only just do enough lol.
