Food scale to sync with MFP phone app?

Does anyone know if MyFitnessPal has plans to partner with a scale manufacturer to allow syncing of a food scale with the mobile phone app? I mostly log Foods using the phone app because the barcode scanner makes it really easy. The Next Step would be synchronization between the app and a food scale. I typically measure foods I eat by weighing them in this would speed up the process greatly.
