Beginners exercise

I was after some advice on exercise.
I have joined the gym and have been going 4 times a week for the past 3 weeks. I do around 40 minutes of cardio - usually crosstraining. I know the advice is to do some strength training but have no idea where to start.

The gym has one/more trainers, ask them. You need to be shown how to move so you don't injure yourself and they'll make a program for you.3
